February 7th has been Declared a Clean-Up Day in Rogers After Last Week’s Ice Storm

Rogers Mayor Womack has declared Saturday February 7th a city-wide clean-up and “help your neighbor” day. Any civic groups or other volunteers that would be willing to help clean up brush and start the process to recovery are invited to participate. The Curious Case of the Northwest Arkansas Ice Storm

On the afternoon of Monday, January 26th, 2009 a curiously strong ice storm barreled into Northwest Arkansas as well as parts of Oklahoma and Missouri. People would call it “the greatest ice storm on record” with it’s toxic combination of freezing rain, sleet, and snow, hundreds of thousands of people in the south and midwest lost power. Commercial Real Estate Owned by FDIC Available Now in Northwest Arkansas

One the biggest stories of 2008 in Northwest Arkansas was that of ANB Financial’s downfall, beginning on May 9th. That’s when the FDIC stepped in and seized control of ANB’s assets to prevent further losses. While a number of people have been hurt by this local financial disaster, investors and home buyers can now purchase property owned by the FDIC in Northwest Arkansas that was previously held by ANB Financial.
