Valentine’s day is the second biggest card giving holiday of the year behind Christmas.
About 1/4th of the people that buy flowers for Valentine’s Day are Women.
Cupid is a symbol of Valentine’s Day because he was the son of the roman Goddess of Love, Venus.
Over 100 million roses will be delivered for Valentine’s Day this year.
California produces nearly 60% of all American roses but most roses for Valentine’s Day come from South America.
Many experts say that Valentine’s Day originated from St. Valentine, a Roman that was martyred for refusing to renounce Christianity. He died February 14th, 269 A.D.
