The Curious Case of the Northwest Arkansas Ice Storm

On the afternoon of Monday, January 26th, 2009 a curiously strong ice storm barreled into Northwest Arkansas as well as parts of Oklahoma and Missouri. People would call it “the greatest ice storm on record” with it’s toxic combination of freezing rain, sleet, and snow, hundreds of thousands of people in the south and midwest lost power. Below is a short video compilation highlighting beauty amid chaos.
